CCHS Walk 4 Paws 2017

Monday, July 31, 2017

October 14th 2017 is the most important date on our calendars here at the Chautauqua County Humane Society, and that date should also be an important one on your calendar as well.  Saturday, October 14th is the date of the 13th Annual Walk 4 Paws.  Walk 4 Paws is CCHS’s largest fundraiser of the year.  Last year over $34,000 was raised for the Dogs and Cats that rely on the services CCHS provides them on their way to new loving homes.  As a subscriber to this newsletter and supporter of CCHS, you the reader are an important part of this year’s Walk 4 Paws!   Whether it’s forming a team, supporting an existing team, or setting a donation goal and walking as an individual, our goal can only be met if everyone does their part.

Now that the pitch has been made, we will tell you that signing up for the walk is easier than ever!

Step 1: Visit The Walk 4 Paws fundraising page.

Step 2:  Start your personalized page.

From there it’s just a matter of setting your fundraising goal, and filling out some basic information.

If you are new to Walk 4 Paws, it is a scenic walk on the grounds of the world famous Chautauqua Institution.  Registration begins at 9am and the walk starts at 10am on Saturday, October 14th.   Many participants bring their dogs in costume!  There is a red carpet to allow walkers the possibility to let their 4 legged friend have a moment in the spotlight. Awards are given to the Top participating team and individual walkers.  We will have some complimentary food options before and after the walk.  It’s a fun event and a fantastic chance to meet fellow CCHS supporters and animal lovers!

Mark October 14th on your calendars and check Chautauqua County Humane Society on Facebook, Twitter and SPCAPETS.COM for updates and information.  If you would like more information visit feel free to call or e-mail CCHS Community Relations Director Brian Papalia at 665-2209 extension 213 or Bpapalia@spcapets.com.

On behalf of the staff, the volunteers, and most importantly the cats and dogs that depend on the good work done here at CCHS – Thank You!  Thank You for your support, Thank you for your love, and Thank you for being a part of the 2017 Walk 4 Paws!
